What is the difference between ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 9001:2008? Unlike the change from ISO 9001:1994 to ISO 9001:2000, which fundamentally changed the basic approach to quality management, ISO 9001:2008 introduces minor clarifications based on user experience since 2000. It also improves compatibility with ISO 14001, the standard for environmental monitoring systems. If you already operate ISO 9001:2000, then upgrading to ISO 9001:2008 should be a fairly minor task.
